Phileas Fogg!

Ok a short one from me today but something i just had to write down. My best friend Elizabeth is a beautiful person both spiritually and physically. She has 3 adorable and equally beautiful children who i adore and one of whom i am very proud to say is my GodSon.

She is very content with who she is but one thing she has never been able to do is find a partner in life who will love her for who she is. They want to possess her and over time, change her despite the fact that they were attracted to her personality and that was the thing that they loved in the beginning. Her ex husband has also made her life very difficult over the last few years sometimes driving her to depths of sadness that nobody should ever experience.

Never being one to do things by halves she has taken the bull truly by the horns this time as an opportunity to step through a sliding door and go in search of a brighter life has presented iteself. She could have played it safe and just plodded on but then that just wouldn't be Elizabeth. Here is what she is doing and we are hopefully going to take that adventure with her.

Yesterday she announced that she has sold her house and had bought a round the world ticket for her and the children. She leaves on March 1st and is travelling across the continents in search of a puzzle piece that has been missing for a while, a little slice of happiness to complete her life. She has sold her house, her car, all of her belongings apart from a few things she is putting into storage and is going to do a very brave thing that most of us just don't have the balls to do.

I will miss her and the children terribly but i am SO happy for her and the children to be taking this adventure. She will keep in regular contact and i will be posting her news as and when it comes in if you are interested. I wish her safe passage and happy times and i hope that she finds what she is searching for.
